I have to take coumadin so I am thankful you have the E free formula. This has been a great benefit for my eyes.
I've been taking VisiVite blue for several years, Thank the Lord my sight and VisiVite as I continue to see 20/20. Science has come a long way in the research for AMD. My shots have been used since 2012. They are not fun but if they along with VisiVite keep my eyes seeing at such a wonderful rate. I'll continue on the path I'm going. Thanks Visivite!!!
I was diagnosed with the beginnings of macular degeneration several years back by my optometrist. I tried other products, some upset my stomach so I switched to VisiVite AREDS2 Blue formula a few years back. And according to my optometrist the degeneration has not gotten any worse.
Dr. Krawitz, I am an 88 year old average man with diminishing sight and hearing, and I wish to tell you about my experience with VISIVITE E-Free Blue Formula. A few days ago I visited a local ophthalmologist to have my eyes tested for a new prescription. The last time I had an eye exam was about a year ago, when I was told that new lenses were probably unnecessary, as my old lenses were not much different than those prescribed. So it seems somewhat unnecessary for me to have my eyes examined within so short a period of time. My visit to the ophthalmologist was actually precipitated because I was having trouble with my current pair of glasses, which were often causing me problems with the lens popping out. Also, I didn't remember how expensive the exam was, and especially how expensive a new pair of glasses would be. Having said all that, I get to the reason for this letter. During the recent past, I have been taking VISIVITE, as explained above. After the eye examination, my doctor spoke of the VISIVITE I was taking (I had furnished him a list of prescription and OTC medicine I was taking regularly), except he used "doctor terms" in mentioning VISIVITE. He said my eyes had actually improved since my last visit! The only explanation for this phenomenon is my use of VISIVITE. I take several OTC medicines, but this is the only one with which measurable results have been attained, although I have reasons to believe that some, or perhaps all, of my OTC medicines have proven to be effective, including my blood pressure medicines, which apparently have resulted in a reduction of the dosage of prescription medicine. I was on the phone just now, and I ordered 6 more bottles of VISIVITE E-FREE, which I expect to receive within a few days.

My father (91 y.o.) and I have been taking ared 2 since it was released. Took its predecessor for years. He is being treated for smd, and is injected with lucentis virtually every 5 weeks. He has been on pradaxa for about a year no. No one ever cautioned against vitamin E. Before I reorder my usual supply of 2, can you advise whether he should be switched to the E free formulation. Thanks.
Generally, high doses of Vitamin E are to be avoided for patients on COUMADIN. Consult with your father's doctor to determine if he/she wants him to avoid high doses of Vitamin E while on PRADAXA.
Hi, i live in Istanbul/Turkey. Is there any way to get this vitamin shipped to my country. \'cause, it\'is not sold in Turkey. Thanx.
If you have any friends or family who live in the U.S., we could ship your order to them and then they could ship the order to you but otherwise, we are not able to ship to Turkey.
Was i defense E free recently changed? Color of capsule was blue and now white speckled.
VisiVite i-Defense E-Free has been improved and renamed VisiVite AREDS2 E-Free Blue Formula. The changes include: Now made with natural OmniXan zeaxanthin from marigolds rather than synthetic OPTISHARP, removed titanium dioxide and artificial blue color to capsules, change from gelatin to vegetarian capsules. VisiVite AREDS2 E-Free Blue Formula is recommended for people with macular degeneration who take warfarin (Coumadin) or Plavix, or who wish to avoid Vitamin E for other reasons.
I was told to avoid Vitamin K, but was not told anything about avoiding Vitamin E while I\'m on warfarin.
Vitamin K can reduce the effect of warfarin while Vitamin E can increase the effect of warfarin, in some patients. Therefore, some doctors recommend that their patients taking warfarin should avoid supplements containing Vitamin E. VisiVite AREDS2 E-Free Formula contains 20 mg FloroGLO natural lutein from marigolds, 4.75 mg OmniXan natural zeaxanthin from paprika, 40 mg zinc oxide, 500 mg Vitamin C, and numerous other antioxidants to support the health of the macula.
Is this product recommended for those with dry eye, or do you have a better product for this condition? I would like to find replacement for Restasis which is not helping that much.
VisiVite AREDS2 E-Free Blue Formula is designed for macular health, particularly in patients who take Coumadin (warfarin) and need to avoid Vitamin E. For dry eye symptoms, we recommend VisIVite Dry Eye Relief, which you can find by entering "Dry Eye Relief" in the search box at the top of this page.
Are there any herbs in this vitamin. My mother is having knee replacement surgery in 2 weeks, and her doctor said she shouldn\'t have any Vitamin E or any herbs and no fish oil within 10 before and 10 days after her surgery.
VisiVite AREDS 2 E-Free Blue Formula contains no Vitamin E, herbs or omega 3 fish oil. The FloraGLO Lutein is from marigold flowers, and the OmniXan zeaxanthin is from paprika.
I have had a stroke and and I on Plavix and aspirin. I also have wet macular degeneration in one eye. What would be the appropriate formula
Your doctors will be appreciative of your using a macular degeneration formula without Vitamin E, such as VisiVite AREDS 2 Blue Formula.
