I was diagnosed with macular degeneration (dry) about 12 years ago. VisiVite was recommended to me by my ophthalmologist. I have been taking 2 Areds2 tabs and 2 ProDHA 1000 tabs for years. However, along with many other supplements, I have also been taking 1000mg of calcium citrate daily for many years; but not as long as I've been taking the VisiVite. My annual physicals have been excellent and my macular degeneration (which was minimal) has not increased.
I was already on Visivite gold and decided to add the dha to see if it made a difference. My vision measured better in my eye doctor's office than the last time, so I'm going to continue.
Can you please let me know the dosage for this combination. Is it one of each tablet per day, x2 of each etc
VisiVite Gold Formula required two capsules per day, and ProDHA 1000 requires two gelcaps per day.
I am a 70 yr old male, with AMD in both eyes with only a slight problem in one eye...can I take the Visvite AREDS2 Gold along with a multivitamin? Also does the Nordic ProDha leave a fishy after taste.
Yes, you can also take a multivitamin with VisiVite Gold and Nordic Naturals ProDHA. We recommend our own Co-Defense tablets. The ProDHA has a pleasant and gentle strawberry flavor.
Is it better to take all 4 tablets together in the morning or 1 of each in the morning and evening?
For nutritional supplements, it makes no difference. Take what is easiest for you to remember, and take them with food.
